Volleyball Canada has launched the virtual identification process for the 2026 Team Canada Men’s U17, U19, and U21 programs. This initiative provides a platform for athletes across Canada to showcase their potential to be part of the men’s national team program.

"The identification process is an important step in the success of our age-class programs and we encourage athletes to take part again this this year. It has been very exciting to see the interest and participation of athletes from across the country in recent years," said Julien Boucher, men's indoor high-performance director. "With the chance to compete for Canada on the line, we're looking forward to the 2026 season."

Boys' U17 Program
Designed for athletes born in 2010 or later, the virtual application process aims to identify a total of 28 players who will be invited to participate in the U17 programs as follows:
Fourteen athletes to compete at the Boys' U17 NORCECA Pan American Cup in Guatemala from July 5 to 13.
Two teams of 14 athletes respectively to compete at the 2026 Canada Cup in Regina from July 21 to 26.

March 1 to June 1: Athlete selections
Week of June 2: Invitations sent out
June 12: Deadline for invitation acceptance
July 1-4: Training camp in Canada (location to be confirmed)
July 5-12: U17 Boys' NORCECA Pan American Cup in Guatemala
July 13-19: Break
July 20-27: Canada Cup in Regina, SK

Boys' U19 Program
Designed for athletes born in 2009 or later, the virtual application process aims to identify 24-28 players who will be invited to attend the U19 Selection Camp in British Columbia, scheduled from May 4 to 9, 2026 (exact location to be decided), and potentially compete at the U19 Boys' NORCECA Continental Championship in Burnaby, BC (May 10-18, 2026).

May 4-9: Selection camp in British Columbia (location to be confirmed)

Men’s U21 Program
Targeted at athletes born in 2006 or later, the U21 program offers a full-time training environment focused on technical and tactical development. 24 to 28 athletes will be invited to an in-person selection camp from June 1 to 6, 2026 (location TBD). 16 athletes will be selected to train and potentially compete at the U21 Men's NORCECA Continental Championship.
